Playground
The Playground renders a single line or a two-person exchange without creating a project. Use it for casting calls, for testing a style or a pronunciation before you commit it to a script, and for one-off lines like trailer VO.
Single line
Type a transcript, choose a voice, an optional style and a model, then pick the output format, sample rate and loudness. Press Render and the take plays as soon as it's ready.
Each press renders a fresh performance, so pressing it again is how you get alternatives. A render costs the same as one take of a project line; see Credits & plans.
Two speakers
Two speakers renders a short exchange between two characters as one file. Name the two speakers, give each a voice, then write the turns, each with an optional style.
- When both speakers use studio voices, the exchange is rendered in a single pass with natural turn-taking and timing.
- Acteme Specials and library voices are rendered turn by turn and joined.
Wrap a listener's short reaction in pipes inside the other speaker's turn to get overlapping speech, such as |mhm| or |fair|. See two-speaker dialogue.
Your renders
Every playground render is kept under Your renders until you delete it, with a waveform, playback and a download button. Playground renders belong to your account, not to a project, so they're never included in a project export or the engine manifest.
